Walkthrough: Episode FourPart OneYou're nowinside a yellow submarine (okay, it's not really yellow, but let's pretend). You're ever closer to finding your lovely girlfriend. This is the mid-point ofthe game, but it's also where things start to get difficult. Yeah, you read thatright, things have been easy up until now. Don't hide behind your sofa, we'llget see you through the final four Episodes. As you start down the submarine, you'll need to be wary ofthe giant rocket-powered torpedoes speeding down the hall. The only way to avoidthese is to drop into one of the trenches. There are two ways to approach thisfirst part. You need to get through here quickly in order to get a V rating intime.
However, you have the opportunity to earn major V-Points by stickingaround and fighting. The choice is yours. If you choose to go for points, drop into the firsttrench you come to.
A seemingly endless wave of Bianky-Sailors. These are justlike normal Biankies only they also have a roundhouse kick you need to watch outfor. Let a couple of Bianky drop into the trench.
They are now easy pickings fora short combo. There are well over a dozen Bianky-Sailors to take on. Keepfighting until they stop coming and you should come away with over about 5000points, if not more.Continue forward. See the glowing cracks on the floor?Jump and then Zoom to kick through the floor. You'll get extra V-Film and you'llhave another trench to play in. There's a propeller platform you'll see off tothe side. You need to find the remote first.
The best place to get cheats, codes, cheat codes, walkthrough, guide, FAQ, unlockables, tricks, and secrets for PlayStation 2 (PS2). Strategy Guide/Walkthrough/FAQ. FMV sequence before the fight, Alastor will read the script that tells about their plan, and the cover page is marked 'Viewtiful Joe'. Quick Viewtifuls. This is the first game in the Viewtiful Joe series. For other games in the series see the Viewtiful Joe category. Viewtiful Joe is a side-scrolling beat-em-up game developed by Team Viewtiful and published by Capcom. It is the first game in the series. The game fuses classic side-scrolling beat-em up gameplay, stylish cell-shaded visuals, wacky, over-the-top characters and innovative time.
Keep moving, using the Zoop Jump tobreak through the cracked ceiling and floor to earn extra V-Film. When you reachthe map (which you can ignore), break through the floor to find the remote. Youshould now have enough V-Film for your first VFX Meter increase of theEpisode.Head back towards the entrance and get the platform tofollow you.
You can't ride it yet, but the platform can take a ride on thetorpedo to the scrapyard. You need to protect it while making your way back tothe trench below the map. Get to a trench and when you hear the torpedocoming, use the Slow FX to drop the platform down safely with you. You can thentap the L Button to keep the Torpedo low but prolong your VFX juice. Go fromtrench to trench doing this until you reach the trench under the map.Just beyond this trench you'll see an up arrow. Themoment the torpedoes flames pass overhead, step towards that arrow. Thepropeller platform will come into the foreground.
You must act quickly or thetorpedo will nail you. Hop onto the platform and use Mach Speed to rise up. Jumpoff and touch the flag.
Phew! The gate opens and you are stuck in very tight confineswith your three Verdy Jets. They are tough to hit, so rely more on ricochetingmissiles into them.
When they are toast, you'll need to get the other gate open.To do that, wait for the propeller platform to hover over the button on thefloor. Slow time and hop through the gate. Now ride the platform up theshaft.Break through the grate at the end of the hall with aZoom Jump and then make your way up the steps (be sure to grab the V-Film on theright). At the end of the platform you'll have your first meeting with Gelby. This big yellow bumpkin is easy to beat. Wait for Gelby to jump in the air, spinning in a yellow-bladed summersault. Run under him or jump over him themoment he lands.
He'll offer a confused look. You can also jump overGelby when he punches and get the same reaction. Grab the wheel and head left. The moment the wheel is in place, Joe gives it a spin, turning the submarine upside down. Head left and jump up to grab fiveV-Films located behind the wheel. Now you need to make your way back so you canstop those darned torpedoes. Everything is upside down, but the path is fairlyclear. Keep heading up.
Once you are back in the hallway, head left to end thefirst half of this Episode.Part TwoYour first obstacle is one of those annoying electricalgears. Use your Zoom Jump or the your Voomerang to destroy the gear. Slow timeto drop down the propeller above. It will rise naturally, so you don't need touse Mach Speed. Once up top, you still need the propeller's help.
Wait for it tomove over the button on the ceiling, then use Mach Speed to force it to push thebutton and lower the gate. Keep Mach Speed on until you have leapt through thegate. Destroy the gear on the other side then use Slow to get onto yet anotherpropeller.Up top, you'll need to watch for the big torpedo again. If you don't mind wasting time and want an extra life and some new baddies tobeat up, head left. At the end of the road you'll find three Comarty. Lead themaway from the blue light for your own safety. These three are very tough to takedown, but doing so earns some V-Points and an extra life.
Once this is done (orif you choose not to do it) return to where you came from so you can stop thetorpedoes once and for all.Wait for it to pass, then head right and grab abucketful of V-Film. Drop into the nearest trench and destroy the gear. This next part gets a bit tricky. You can get stuck on the automated torpedoloader, if you're not careful, and loose a good chunk of life.
Wait for atorpedo to move up then Mach Speed your way across to the other side. If you geton the top torpedo, you will get stuck in a vicious crushing cycle where you arepinned to the ceiling. If this happens, head to the nose of the torpedo and useMach Speed to slip free when it launches.Drop down to the platform below (press Down and X) thenMach Speed across the next torpedo before if rises. Drop down to the lowestplatform. Mach Speed, yet again, across the final torpedo layer.
Fight theBianky-Sailors looking for a tussle, using Mach Speed to crack the pink crate. Amuch-need Red Bottle is your reward for breaking that lovely pink seal. With infinite VFX in tow, hold down the L1 Button and enterthe gear area. See them As the gears spin, you'll see a yellow Stop sign. Hit itto stop the gear. While doing this, a Gerdy at the end of the area chucks stuffat you, but as long as you have time slowed down, you don't have to sweat this.If you didn't get the Red Bottle, you will need to be more patient and slow timefor each lower gear and stop it will avoiding the junk tossed by the Gerdy. Onceyou've crossed the gears, take down the Gerdy and grab the key.Leap over the gap to find an orange crate in the shaftabove.
Drop down the shaft and make your way left. Drop downagain and get ready for an interesting puzzle. First, before any puzzle-solvingcan be done, you need to waste two Bianky-Jets and a Gerdy.
Take out the Gerdyfirst, as the bombs the Bianky drop are easy to avoid. Once the room is cleansedof enemies, move to the two poles to the right. You've done this before.
Zoomand whirlwind kick to light both switches evenly. When both are fully lit, watchthe cut-scene carefully. Three of the lights on the columns above are shown inblue. You'll need to deactivate only these three switches to solve the puzzle. The switches are random, but this is easy to accomplishas long as you pay attention.
Double-jump on the air vents to get the air youneed, then punch when you are in front of the proper switch. If you make amistake, you'll have to start over by kicking the two poles again.
Do not dillyor dally as there's limited time before the switches reset and you have to startover again. Once the switches are deactivated, you get a lovely cut-sceneshowing the torpedoes deactivate.
Hoorah! You need to make your way back to the Bridge (rememberwhere you left that wheel?). Head back up, fighting a series of enemies alongthe way (A Gerdy, Bianky-Sailors, Verdy-Jets, and Cromarties. You can fight themall or try and run through them. Either way, when you reach the map, drop downand continue towards the Bridge. Go past the wheel and kick the box to get alovely meal.
![Viewtiful joe 2 walkthrough Viewtiful joe 2 walkthrough](/uploads/1/2/5/7/125738866/157820873.jpg)
Then jump and kick the wheel to flip things around again. Now make your way back to the map. You can finally getto the engine room. Take a right, fight a few Gerdy on your way, and drop downthe red shaft to face.
Yourself?!Boss: Another JoeNow it's time to fight your spitting image. Wha' happened??This crazy battle will test your ultimate skills, but if you are quick with yourfingers, this one is beatable.
You must battle Another Joe in aroundthe submarine's massive engine. Each side has different platform formations. Youshould stick to the long sides as much as possible, because you have a lot morevertical maneuverability thanks to all those extra platforms. The two short endsput you out into the open a bit too much to stay there the majority of the time- plus Another Joe tends to hang on the longer sides anyway. The true peril with fighting on the longer sides is thateach has an electrified floor below. Still, the advantages outweigh this onestrong negative. If you find yourself falling towards the electricity you canZoom and Jump upwards towards a platform.
Whatever you do, don't Slow time whenyou are on the electric floor or you'll do even more damage to yourself. When the fight begins you need to make your way aroundall sides an collect the V-Film. There should be enough here to get you anotherslot open in your VFX Meter. You'll need it for this fight. Grabbing all theV-Film might end up costing you a couple of points of health, simply because youaren't putting up your best fight. Consider this first life a preplife. If you die, you will still have that extra VFX slot (unless you have tocontinue), so use your next life to truly take the battle to Another Joe.Another Joe has several attacks, and while they aren'talways easy to avoid, none of them will kill you all that quickly. The nicething about Another Joe is that he announces each attack before they happen.
Tobeat AJ, you need to keep track of him. Follow him when he moves. Try anddisrupt him with a Slow Zoom Dive followed by Slow Zoom Punches when he startsannouncing an attack. This is the fastest way to taking him down. If you get himmid-speech, he will not only be stunned, the attack will be cancelled.
This isyour one and only true tactic for this fight - Attack, attack, attack. Berelentless and always use Slow Zoom attacks to take down large amounts of AJ'shealth quickly. Now that you know how to take Another Joe down, here'show to avoid his attacks:Hand-to-Hand: Another Joe has the same attacks as you.Red Hot Kick, Whirlwind Kick, and even the ability to use all three VFX attacks. If you're standing toe-to-toe with Joe and he's not trying to summon a specialattack (any of the three below) wait for him to attack first.
You'll see the RedSkull of Death warning telling you if the attack is high or low. Dodge and thenZoom, Slow time, and Punch.
You can get in three to five punches this way beforeAnother Joe counterattacks.Six Machine: When AJ calls for Six Machine, smile. It's good times. Get to high elevation, as Six Machine generally drops bombs. When Six Machine nears, jump and slow time.
Two kicks will knock it to theground. Destroy Six Machine for a hamburger every time. Later in the fight, after AJ is below half health, Six Machine may attack with lasers. Get up highand Zoom Dive on top of the flying car.Clone Whirlwind: The first of AJ's clone attacks caneasily be identified. When AJ shouts, 'Henshin a-go-go, baby!' He's about toperform a Whirlwind.
Clones appear and circle around you if you are relativelyclose to Joe. To take them out, do your Whirlwind Kick.
They'll run into yourfeet and go poof. Easy.Clone Storm: Not so easy is when AJ shouts, 'Henshina-bye-bye!' That signals a clone storm. AJ bounces about leaving stillduplicates of himself (usually a half-dozen). You have about ten seconds beforethese dupes become active.
Use the Voomerang to take out as many as possible. They'll soon turn red and fly quickly towards you. If you avoid them longenough, they'll disappear, but it's tough to avoid all of them.
The bestapproach is to stand still. Sometimes the clones come in a line and you can Slowtime and hit them one at a time. They poof after just one hit. If you seeseveral that are coming from different directions looking to pile onto you, slowand use the Whirlwind Kick.Once you've beaten Joe, another weirdo in a purple suitswings by, right before the submarine takes a massive hit.
Looks like it's timeto make your escape! The submarine is sinking. Tilted on it's side, you'llhave to make it through familiar (if sideways) ground to get to the exit.
Youhave ten minutes, which is plenty of time. Make your way up the platforms untilyou reach a dead end at the standing torpedo. Slow time and do an uppercut toknock the torpedo in the air, then use Mach Speed to race underneath it beforeit falls. Do the same to the next torpedo. The final torpedo is actually tryingto launch. Hop on its nose and Slow time to build its momentum. It will shootup.
Hit the two yellow crates for goodies, then hop onto the platform above.Your last test is to hop up a series of platforms pastseveral lasers. Since you aren't riding on a propeller platform, don't botherwith your VFX Powers. Instead, use old-fashioned timing to win this one. Whenyou get to the top, leap up into the blue light. Shop, save, and continueonward!
